Here's how I saw it...
The Rose and Crown - The traditional meet and greet is given extra energy by Stuart looking like he's just walked out of a Dickens dramatisation. He needs to be helped into his coat due to it's bulky tight nature. Not everyone can work the bowler hat style.
The Highworth - We stayed a bit longer here as it was belting down. We also learned that Corvus stout is a poor substitute for Guinness (sorry Ben) and we don't know too many bones of the body.
The Goldfinger - With a disco being set up for Tracey's party the usual darts and pool games are cancelled. We watch Manchester United labour to victory in the FA Cup instead.
The Plough - The darts tournament takes place here instead. Brian scores an excellent 98 points but Kevin nips in with a late 25 to beat him by a single point. PG's dartitis astounds and amuses the onlookers.
The Globe - No karaoke! For the second year running! We sit and talk to each other instead. A curious aroma in the back room kept us in the main bar.
The Saracen's Head - The categories switched away from football here before Stuart exploded. Otherwise uneventful.
The King and Queen - On the quiet side apart from a school reunion. Carpo knew some of the principal characters. least said - soonest mended.
Rafu's - good curry I thought. The category revealed it was no wonder we failed to win Euro 2012. The 'where's my sock' game not quite reaching the heights of last year's 'I went to a picnic'.
